Rakau is a traditional form of Maori stick game involving two or more people completing a set of patterns or moves with two wooden sticks (although you can also use magazines taped together at one end!). In the first lesson we taught you some basic moves for you to learn. In this lesson Mikeala and Anna-May teach you an advanced move with a cross over that needs some practise! It's challenging but once completed it will look really clever. Filmed at Tamaki Intermediate School on July 5th before our School Holiday Break.
