In their final warm up match before next week's Eastern Zone Finals the Tamaki Intermediate Open Grade Boys hosted Remuera Intermediate on Friday at lunchtime. It was a last chance for some of the Tamaki players to prove they deserved a spot in the tournament team for next week. The Tamaki forwards proved their worth, but Remuera Intermediate had an exceptional backline with their number 10,first five starring with exceptional attacking play. At half time the score was 15-7 to Remuera, after Ronyah had scored at the end of the second half following a devastating run from George. The Tamaki team was tiring in the second half and early points would be needed to stay close to Remuera... could they do it?
Our regular filming team was unavailable as Victor and Douglas were in the thick of things on the field, so Zubair and Vincent filmed some of the action - Moli also stepped in with an impromtu interview at the end of the match... the next step for the team is Wednesday when the Tamaki Intermediate Boys Open Grade compete against Remuera Intermediate, Howick Intermediate, Pakuranga Intermediate and the Stanhope Road/Bailey Road teams in the 2008 Eastern Zone finals.

That was an exciting game, but a disappointing result for you at Tamaki Intermediate. It is a great idea to tell people which colour jerseys your team is wearing.
Moli, another interview well done. I thought the speaker from Remuera a was very gracious winner.
Better luck next time team.
